Terms of use
These terms are the agreement between you and Kvell, who runs Kvell. By signing up for or using the app you agree to them.
Recipes are written by AI and can contain mistakes
- Every recipe is extracted and translated automatically by an AI model. It can be wrong: in amounts, units, conversion to grams, temperatures, times, steps and translation.
- Allergens: the app does not check for allergens, and the ingredient list may be incomplete or wrong. If you have an allergy or intolerance, check every ingredient against the source and the product packaging.
- Nutrition values, tags (such as "vegan" or "gluten-free") and supermarket package suggestions are estimates only, not dietary or medical advice.
- Before cooking, especially an important recipe, compare it with the source. You are responsible for what you cook and eat.
Your account
- You sign in with a Google account. You must be at least 16 years old.
- You are responsible for activity in your account. If you think someone else has accessed it, revoke the app's access in your Google account and contact us.
- You can delete your account at any time, see Delete account.
Your content and other people's content
- Your recipes stay yours and are saved in your Drive. You give us only the permission needed to process them for you (read, translate and save). We do not publish them or use them for anything else.
- Imported recipes belong to their creators. The app saves the creator's name and a link to the source with every recipe, and writes explanations in its own words.
- The app is meant for a personal recipe collection, like a notebook. Each recipe is saved only for the person who saved it, and there is no public library. Do not republish other people's content without permission.
- Only import content you are allowed to access, such as public posts, open websites and books you own.
- Creators: if you believe the app infringes your rights, contact us at lironco@gmail.com with a link to the content and we will look into it.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the app to cause harm, to get around other sites' restrictions, to import automatically in bulk or to overload the service.
- Do not try to get around the monthly allowance, the free recipes or the payment system, for example by opening many accounts.
- The app is for personal, non-commercial use. Don't resell it or access to it, copy it, reverse engineer it, or use it to build a competing service.
- If these terms are broken we may suspend or close the account. The recipes in your Drive remain yours even then.
The service
- We work to keep the service available and accurate, but it is provided "as is", without a promise of uninterrupted availability. Features may change.
- The app saves recipes only in the user's own Google Drive. To use it you need a Google account with free Drive space, and the subscription does not include storage.
- Without a subscription you can add a few recipes for free. A subscription includes a fair monthly allowance of new recipes, meant for normal personal use.
- If the service shuts down we will give notice in advance, and yearly subscribers with time remaining will get a pro-rata refund.
- If a change in the law stops us from providing the service, we may end it; subscribers with time remaining will then also get a pro-rata refund.
- The app links to each recipe's source and to other sites. We are not responsible for their content, availability or policies.
Subscription and payment
- Subscriptions are monthly or yearly and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. There is no free trial: before subscribing you can add a few recipes for free.
- The price is shown before you pay and includes VAT or sales tax where it applies.
- Before buying, make sure you have access to Google Drive and free space in it. Refunds are subject to Paddle's terms and the law, including the right of withdrawal for distance sales.
- Payment is handled by Paddle, the merchant of record for the subscription, so Paddle's buyer terms also apply. Subscriptions bought in the app through the App Store or Google Play are subject to Apple's or Google's terms.
- You can cancel at any time, with no fee, in the app's settings or on the cancel subscription page. The subscription stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds: see the refund policy.
- If the price changes we will tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
- Recipes you already saved stay in your Drive after the subscription ends.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect damage, lost profits or data, or damage caused by using a recipe or by an extraction error, and total liability is limited to what you paid in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as for intent, gross negligence or personal injury, or your statutory rights as a consumer in your country.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days in advance. If you don't agree you can cancel and get a pro-rata refund for the remaining period.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, and the courts of Tel Aviv have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU or another country, you keep the protections of your local law that cannot be waived by agreement, and you may also bring a claim there.
General
- We may use suggestions and feedback you send us in the app, with no obligation or payment to you.
- Notices about your account and subscription are sent by email or in the app, and count as notice in writing.
- If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
- These terms, together with the privacy policy and the refund policy, are the whole agreement between us about the app.
- The app's name and logo belong to the operator and may not be used without permission.
